It has to be one of the biggest disasters in live wrestling TV history. Newcomer The Ninja, managed by Tojo Yamamoto was poised to be immediately positioned as a threat to Tracy Smothers’ Mid-American Title.
However, when they wrestled live Saturday morning at WMC TV’s studio, the back of Ninja’s pants split early in the match… badly… and only got worse. It was also clear he wasn’t wearing underwear.
A mad dash to get the match out of the ring led an awkward ending, a lot of confusion, and a lot of snickering fans live in-studio at how much of Ninja they’d just seen.
