LOST FOOTAGE FOUND (We think?)
In the process of going through several tape collections, we found an episode of Eddie Einhorn’s IWA International Championship Wrestling that we don’t THINK has ever been digitized or available anywhere online.
To be clear – Portions of this episode have been circulated around as stand-alone segments, and some segments from this episode do appear in other more commonly seen episodes. But, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first time this episode has been available digitally in its entirety, perhaps ever.
The one drawback is IWA footage is incredibly difficult to date/organize. The lack of promotion of local events, lack of continuous weekly episodic stories, and the fact the footage is a good ten years older than most of the territory television footage still in existence all factor in to the confusion, leaving historians and collectors to their best guess as far as what order the shows should be placed in.
We’re calling this one IWA – International Championship Wrestling – Episode #19 because that’s the lowest episode number that hasn’t been claimed yet. If anyone else has a better guess, feel free to reach out!
